A Quiet Place movie scene analysis
The settings of the clip is set in the woods, the characters are walking through the woods without any shoes. The idea of them not having any shoes tells us that they have to be silent at all times due to a threat lurking in their area. This creates an element of danger within the movie. As the characters are half way across the bridge their son starts playing a toy plane which created a loud sound. One of the kids are deaf and when we are put into her perspective it gives us a sense of curiosity as she cannot hear anything. As the toy plane starts making the noise the dad turns towards the direction of the noise slowly and starts to run towards the child in order to try and save him. This scene creates a lot of tension as there is dramatic music playing and as the dad is running he sees the monster. This gives us a sense of shock as we don’t know if the child will be saved of take by the monster
There are a lot of camera angles in the scene which create elements of curiosity and tension the scene contains many NVC’s which help the viewers understand each character’s emotion.
